Participants train on the VR simulator to handle a motor yacht in calm water using a console with physical helm controls and an engine control lever. The instructor reviews each run, gives advice and explains how to approach the practice.

Brief
Set the manoeuvre, objective and expected vessel behaviour before the headset goes on.
Practice
The student controls the helm and engine control lever in VR while the instructor observes.
Repeat
Reset the same scenario quickly and repeat approach, turn, stop or docking attempts.
Debrief
Review speed, angle, timing, throttle decisions and correction points.
Practice implementation
Practice built into a continuous training process

Pilot with a small group
